This policy covers information collected by W&S Distribution Group, LLC through wsdist.com. This is a business-to-business site; it is not directed at consumers or at children.
1. What we collect
Information you submit. The dealer application collects business identity, tax and resale documentation, contact details for authorized buyers, purchasing profile, sourcing information and fulfillment preferences. The supplier inquiry and contact forms collect the details you enter.
Technical information. Standard server logs, including IP address and user agent, retained for security and abuse prevention.
Analytics. Where analytics are enabled, aggregate usage measurement. Analytics are not used to build advertising profiles of individuals.
2. Why we collect it
To verify a business and its resale credentials, which is both a commercial requirement and, for several product lines, an obligation W&S owes its suppliers.
To operate an account — process orders, allocate product, arrange fulfillment and handle payment.
To communicate about accounts, orders, availability and allocation.
To protect the site and the accounts on it from abuse.
3. Resale certificates and business documents
Documents uploaded through the dealer application are treated as confidential business records. They are stored privately, are not published, are not indexable and are not accessible without authorization.
These documents are retained for as long as the account is open and afterwards for the period required for tax and audit purposes.
4. Who we share with
Service providers who operate parts of the business under contract — hosting, mail delivery, payment processing — and only to the extent required to do so.
Where required by law, or in response to a valid legal process.
W&S does not sell personal information and does not share dealer contact details, dealer pricing or dealer purchasing data with other dealers.
Supplier reporting, where it exists, is produced under agreement. W&S does not provide dealer contact data or dealer pricing to suppliers or other third parties.
Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing.
5. Email and text messages
W&S sends account messages and marketing messages, and treats them differently. Account messages — order confirmations, invoices, allocation notices and certificate reminders — are part of operating an account and are sent regardless of marketing preferences. Marketing messages — release announcements and offers — are sent only to people who have agreed to receive them, on the channel they agreed to.
Consent to text messages is separate from consent to email. Each is recorded with the wording that was agreed to and the time it was given, and neither is a condition of opening an account or making a purchase.
Text messages: message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Replying STOP removes the number from every list W&S holds, including account messages sent by text.
Email: every marketing email carries a way to stop receiving them. Consent to either channel can also be withdrawn at any time by writing to support@wsdist.com.
6. Your choices
To request a copy of the information held about your business, to correct it, or to ask that it be deleted where W&S is not required to retain it, contact support@wsdist.com.
Deleting information required to operate an account will close the account.
7. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to dealer records is restricted by role. Uploaded documents are stored privately with access logged.
No system is perfect. W&S will notify affected accounts of a breach affecting their information without unreasonable delay.
