The county has two card retail markets that barely overlap. West Bradenton and Palmetto are established, older, working-market retail along Cortez Road, Manatee Avenue and US-41 — modest rents, local clientele, price-sensitive. East of the interstate, Lakewood Ranch is one of the highest-income master-planned communities in the state, with retail built to match and a resident base that will buy at the top of the price ladder. The youth sports campus at Lakewood Ranch pulls in tournament traffic from across the southeast on a weekly basis during season, which is a genuinely unusual demand pattern: a store near it sees a transient, motivated, out-of-town customer with money to spend and one weekend to spend it.

A store near a tournament campus has demand concentrated into weekends during season, which means the restock that matters arrives Thursday or Friday, not Monday. That is a planning problem, and it is one of the specific cases where being able to order a small quantity on short notice beats a large quantity on a fixed schedule.
Different enough that the same store cannot serve both well from one location. The price ceiling east of I-75 is far higher, and the customer expects a different presentation. West Bradenton rewards depth in the mid and lower configurations and a store that knows its regulars by name. We do not push a single recommended mix across the county for that reason.
