Trading card distribution in Citrus County

Citrus is the northern boundary of the territory — a small, coastal, heavily retired county built around Crystal River, Homosassa and Inverness. It is the least dense market W&S covers and one where the honest answer about card retail is that there is very little of it.

The market

What card retail looks like in Citrus County.

Retail in Citrus is concentrated along US-19 through Crystal River and Homosassa and around the Inverness town center inland. The population is small and skews strongly retired, which produces a collector profile weighted almost entirely toward vintage, complete sets and the memorabilia end of the business rather than modern sealed wax. The tourism economy here is manatee-driven and outdoor — it brings visitors, but not the kind of visitor who walks into a card shop. A retail operation in Citrus works as a general collectibles store with cards as one line, not as a dedicated card shop, and we would rather say that up front than sell someone a case of product this market will not absorb.

How Citrus County is served

Citrus is served by carrier. It is the northern edge of the territory and the only sensible way to get product there reliably.

Fulfillment tier describes how an address is served, not how fast a box arrives. Individual communities can differ from the county default — each community page states its own.

Questions

Citrus County.

Yes — the qualification criteria are the same everywhere in the territory. What we will do differently is talk honestly about quantities. A Citrus store that buys to a Hillsborough plan will have capital sitting on a shelf, and an account that cannot sell what it bought is not a good account for either of us.
